Security overview

Where your data lives, how it is protected, who can see it, and what we will never do with it.

Ferrith exists for organisations that cannot send their documents to a public AI service: law firms, local authorities, healthcare providers. The platform is built so that the answer to "where does my data go?" is short.

Where your data lives

Your workspace — its documents, conversations, agents, and workflows — is stored and processed in the United Kingdom. The models that read your documents run on hardware we operate; no prompt, document, or answer is sent to a third-party AI provider.

How it is protected

  • Every workspace's data is encrypted at rest with a key that belongs to that workspace alone — and on the plans that offer it, with a key you hold yourself.
  • Traffic to and from the platform is encrypted in transit.
  • Access inside a workspace follows the roles and folder permissions its admins set; what a member cannot see in the product, the model cannot see on their behalf.

What we will never do

Your data is never used to train a model — ours or anyone else's. Support staff do not read workspace content; a support request is handled with you, on your screen, not by opening your data.

The detail

The full statement of our security measures, the list of the suppliers that process data on our behalf, and the legal documents that bind us are published on this site as they are signed off — each page on this site carries the date it was last checked against the running platform.
